The World is Grand.A bullet is fired, the expansion of gas within a narrow cylinder propelling the projectile towards a grinning face as a warm breeze softly crosses its face. The sun is bright, the sky is blue, the world is grand. The face knows precisely what is about to occur, the projectile will collide, penetrating the flesh and bone, slicing through nerves and veins, yet it grins. Another face lies behind the projector of the bullet, its eyes narrowed, the skin relaxed, its countenance lacks any and all emotion. Amongst a crowd it lies, the faces around it solemn, sorrowful. These faces gazing onward feel they have failed their fellow man. They could notThe World is Grand.

A Minor Struggle.There is a struggle tonight. It has persisted through many, and over many years, but there will not form a resolution. A resolution implies an end, a solution, a settlement of opinions, but opinions are never completely settled, and solutions never completely solve matters of opinion. And thus the struggle was had…A Minor Struggle.

An Enlightenment.Agleam was the brightly lit room as he entered. The entirety of it, shining, clean beyond belief, yet covered were the walls with layers of writing. The lowermost layers that could be seen were nearly illegible, the writing an atrocity to whomever taught the occupant of the room. As he looked around, he could not find the occupant of the room, but glancing downward, he discovered the floor was covered with writing, just the same as the walls. However, in large, bold letters, below his feet he found the message, “Written on all the walls, even the so-called floors and ceilings are just horizontal walls!”An Enlightenment.
